A fireplace isn’t an everyday purchase. In fact, it’s often a once in a lifetime purchase (As long as you don't buy at a Big Box Store like Menard's). As a homeowner, you have dedicated time and money into transforming your house into a home. A fireplace, stove or insert will only enhance the welcoming features, but we understand you’ll have questions and concerns. Don’t worry, you’re not expected to have all the answers – because we do. Our experts are here to listen and guide you every step of the way. Give us a call anytime if you have questions or need assistance :) 517-688-5278

The process

Step 1: Sales Quote

Step 2: Site Inspection

Step 2: Site Inspection

We can setup an in store appointment or you can walk-in to pick out the unit(s) that will best suit your needs.  We ask customers to provide pictures of where the unit will be and maybe some basic measurements if it is possible for you to obtain them. (If not, we will cover that in Step 2, no worries.)

From here we can create a soft quote for the UNIT ONLY in the store. We MUST come out to the job site to complete a site inspection (See Step 2) in order to provide the installation cost. You can download and print the Step 1 checklist below and have it ready when you come in or call.

Step 2: Site Inspection

Step 2: Site Inspection

Step 2: Site Inspection

We will schedule a site inspection to do official measurements and make sure the unit and install is the right fit for your homes safety and abides to residential codes.  This allows us to figure installation pricing and provide a final quote. Final quotes are very time consuming so we appreciate your patience during this step in  the process. After this site inspection a quote will be sent within 2 weeks. This can be via email or snail mail, whatever you like. Any changes by the customer after the final quote is sent can result in a significant delay in re-figuring that quote.

Step 3: Deposit

Step 2: Site Inspection

Step 3: Deposit

Once customers have accepted their final quote, a 50% deposit is required to order your job materials. Once the materials are ordered the deposit is non-refundable.

Once your unit and materials arrive, we will schedule your installation.  Shipping timeframes range heavily. We will call you when your order arrives. This keeps our phone lines open and our staff ready for other customers like you.

Upon completion of your installation, we require the final payment.

Driving Directions

What To Expect During Step 1: Sales quote

The Sales Quote will start with an in depth conversation about the perfect solution for you. This conversation will tap into more than just “how much you can afford.” There are solutions for nearly every price range. Our goal is to match you with the fireplace, stove or insert that will bring your family safe, valuable use throughout the year and for years to come. We take a close look at your unique situation before we make any recommendations.

Here are a few of the questions we ask to help identify the perfect solution:

  • Aesthetics & interior design: One of the primary motivations for installing a new fireplace is to upgrade your home. That’s why we start by getting a clear understanding of your design preferences and style.
  • Usability & convenience: A beautiful fireplace may make your home look great, but if using it doesn’t provide the level of convenience or effort that you desire, then you won’t love it 100%. We ensure to match you with a fireplace that will meet your lifestyle so that you can enjoy it everyday.
  • Desired Budget: Before we prescribe the perfect solution, we look at your budget to ensure the project stays within your price range. We outline the total project cost, including installation, to ensure you know exactly how much you need to get started.
  • Compatibility: Next we take a look at your current configuration. Are you installing a new fireplace or do you have an existing fireplace? Our team will inspect your current set up, take measurements, and create a plan to ensure your new fireplace is compatible with your home.
  • Safety: We look at every aspect of your living situation including allergies, health, kids, pets, and other considerations that may pose a safety risk. Our goal is to make your new fireplace as safe as possible for your home and your family.
  • Timing: Are you ready to get started now or will we start this project in 6 months? When it comes to the perfect solution, timing is everything. Our team will help you create a plan and set goals to get your project started.
